This Privacy Policy explains what information the GuessMe Android app (“the app”, “we”, “us”) collects, why it is collected, how it is used, and the choices you have. By installing or using GuessMe you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information we collect

GuessMe is a single-player word-guessing game. The app itself does not require an account, does not ask you for any personal information, and does not contain any user-to-user features.

We use the following third-party services that may collect information automatically:

We do not collect or store:

Your name, email, phone number, address, or any other contact details
Photos, contacts, calendars, microphone audio, or precise location
Any data you type into the keyboard outside the app

All gameplay data (scores, streaks, settings, statistics) is stored locally on your device in private app storage and is removed when you uninstall the app.

2. How we use the information

AdMob uses the data to serve ads — personalized where you have consented, non-personalized otherwise.
Firebase Analytics is used in aggregate form only, to understand which game modes are popular and where users drop off.
Firebase Crashlytics uses crash data to help us fix bugs.
Play Games Services uses your gamer ID only to publish your score on the leaderboard if you sign in.

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties beyond the providers listed above.

For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland:

Personalized ads: processed only with your consent, gathered on first launch via the Google UMP consent form. You can change your choice at any time by reinstalling the app or by clearing app data, which will re-trigger the consent form on next launch.
Non-personalized ads, crash reporting, anonymous analytics: processed under our legitimate interest in operating, supporting, and improving a free game.
Leaderboard submission: processed with your consent (you must sign in to Play Games Services explicitly).

4. Your choices

Reset your advertising ID at any time: Android Settings → Privacy → Ads → Reset advertising ID.
Opt out of personalized ads: Android Settings → Privacy → Ads → “Delete advertising ID” (or in the GuessMe consent form on EU/EEA devices).
Stop crash and analytics reporting: uninstall the app.
Remove your leaderboard score: sign out of Play Games Services in the Play Games app, or contact us at the email above.

5. Children

GuessMe is rated for everyone and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. We do not direct ads to children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

6. Data retention

On-device data (scores, settings) is retained until you uninstall the app or clear app data.
AdMob, Firebase Analytics, and Crashlytics data is retained according to Google’s standard retention policies; see Google’s Privacy & Terms for details.
Play Games leaderboard scores are retained until you sign out or request deletion.

7. Security

All data transmitted to Google services is sent over HTTPS. Local data is stored in Android’s private app sandbox, accessible only to the GuessMe app on your device.

8. International transfers

The third-party services listed above are operated by Google LLC and may process data in the United States and other countries where Google operates. Google participates in standard data-transfer safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
